Accordingly, NYSE Group is taking the following actions:
1. NYSE Regulation has announced that it has determined to commence proceedings to delist the following securities listed on NYSE:
a. China Mobile Communications (CHL)
b. China Telecommunications Corp (CHA)
c. China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited (CHU)
Subject to confirmation that DTCC will settle trades executed on trade date January 7 and January 8, 2021, NYSE will suspend trading in CHA, CHL and CHU at 4:00 a.m. on January 1
1. Absent such confirmation, NYSE will suspend trading at 4:00 a.m. on January 7, 2021. The NYSE will provide further information as available.
2. Once a CCMC, or any security that is a derivative of, or designed to provide investment exposure to, a CCMC (including debt securities issued by a CCMC), is subject to the prohibitions on trading in EO 13959 (beginning either January 11, 2021 or 60 days after an entity is listed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) as a CCMC):
a. NYSE will halt trading of any closed-end fund (“CEF”) listed on NYSE when it becomes aware that it includes in its portfolio any such CCMC. NYSE would expect to resume trading of a halted CEF if it confirms that such CEF no longer includes such CCMC in its portfolio.
b. NYSE Arca will halt trading of any exchange-traded product (“ETP”) listed on NYSE Arca when it becomes aware that it includes in its portfolio any such CCMC. NYSE Arca would expect to resume trading of a halted ETP if it confirms that such ETP no longer includes such CCMC in its portfolio.
