In this interview, Ariel Gatushkin, General Manager of Synevo Georgia, speaks about the company’s recent achievements, future plans, and the values that continue to shape Synevo’s long-term success.
Q. Synevo has once again won the Golden Brand award in the category of “Medical Diagnostic Services”. In your view, what factors have enabled the company to sustain this level of recognition year after year?
A. At Synevo Georgia, this recognition is the result of consistent quality and trust. In diagnostics, accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable and we maintain the same high standards across all 63 of our lab centers in Georgia. We also continuously invest in modern technologies and in the training of our medical teams. Ultimately, this award reflects the confidence that patients and doctors place in us — and maintaining that trust remains our top priority. Beyond technology and infrastructure, it is our people, our commitment to accuracy, and our patient-centered mindset that enable us to maintain this position year after year.
Q. How would you describe Synevo Georgia’s current role in the country’s healthcare ecosystem beyond traditional laboratory services?
A. Synevo Georgia today plays a broader role than that of a traditional laboratory. We are often the first step in a patient’s healthcare journey, providing fast and reliable results that help doctors make timely and accurate decisions.
As part of the Medicover Group, we also bring international expertise, advanced technologies, and European quality standards to the Georgian healthcare system.
Beyond testing, we focus on improving access to quality diagnostics across the country, enabling patients to receive care closer to where they live. In this way, we support earlier diagnosis, better treatment outcomes, and a more proactive approach to healthcare.
Q. Over the past year, what have been the most notable developments or milestones for Synevo Georgia?
A. Over the past year, Synevo Georgia has continued its steady expansion and development. We have increased our geographical coverage by opening seven new laboratory locations across Georgia, improving access to diagnostic services for patients in more regions. In parallel, we expanded our test portfolio, with a particular focus on advanced diagnostics and genetics. Today, the company offers more than 3,000 laboratory tests across key medical fields.
Significant investments were also made in next-generation laboratory equipment and technologies aligned with international standards. These upgrades have contributed to greater accuracy, faster turnaround times, and improved operational efficiency. At the same time, we strengthened our digital capabilities and cooperation with healthcare professionals, helping to simplify and enhance the overall patient journey — from test ordering to result delivery.
These developments reflect a broader long-term strategy focused on sustainable growth, service quality, and expanding nationwide access to reliable laboratory diagnostics.
Q. What are the main strategic priorities for Synevo Georgia in the next two–three years?
A. Looking ahead, Synevo Georgia has three main priorities. First, we aim to continue expanding access to high-quality diagnostics, particularly in underserved areas across the country. Second, we are focusing on preventive healthcare, helping people identify health issues at an early stage. Third, we will continue to embrace digital transformation to make the entire process — from test booking to result delivery — more seamless for patients.
We are also committed to bringing international expertise in genetics and personalized medicine to Georgia, ensuring that our patients have access to the highest standards of care possible.
Q. How does Synevo approach partnerships with clinics, hospitals and other healthcare providers today?
A.Our focus is on supporting physicians with accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic data that helps improve patient outcomes. We also invest in integrated solutions, efficient communication, and streamlined processes to make collaboration with healthcare providers as seamless as possible.
Ultimately, our goal is to be a trusted diagnostic partner within the broader healthcare ecosystem, contributing to better clinical decision-making and improved patient care.

A. From a leadership perspective at Synevo Georgia, my main focus has been on building a strong foundation of quality, consistency, and trust across the organization. This means ensuring that our growth is sustainable, that standards remain consistent across all our locations, and that we continue to invest in our people, our technology, and our daily operations.
Equally important is maintaining a truly patient-centered approach — ensuring that every decision we make leads to better access, better service, and better health outcomes.
For me, leadership is about providing clarity, empowering people to do their best work, and building an organization that continuously improves while delivering real value to patients and healthcare partners.
Q. Looking back at the company’s journey in Georgia, what are you most proud of today?
A. Looking back at the journey of Synevo Georgia, what makes me most proud is how far we have come — from a small startup 15 years ago to becoming a national provider of diagnostic services. But beyond growth in numbers, what truly stands out to me is the trust we have built over time. Step by step, through consistent work and a strong sense of responsibility, we have become a reliable partner for both patients and healthcare professionals. That trust means a great deal to me because, in healthcare as in life, it is never given — it is earned. And it is the result of the dedication and commitment of the many people who have been part of this journey.
Today, seeing the impact of our work across the country makes this achievement especially meaningful on a personal level.
