Jeannie Mai, 42, revealed during Monday’s episode of the daytime talk show that she and her husband, rapper Jeezy, 43, are expecting their first child together.

“It feels surreal because this is the same home that I said so many defiant things. You know, I was like, I know exactly what I want, I know exactly what kind of woman I want to be, and I always said, I’d never be a mom,” Mai shared on the talk show.

“It’s been really hard to keep all of these secrets from you guys because we’ve had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!”

“And there’s so many reasons now that are coming to fruition as to why I would have said that then, but I do know that you never say never, and that love can really change you.”

While debuting her baby bump, Mai recalled the years in which she didn’t plan on becoming a mother. However, she said things changed when she met Jeezy.

“I can definitely say that our real fam is growing,” Mai told her co-hosts, Garcelle Beauvais, Loni Love and Adrienne Houghton.

Mai, 42, credited the talk show with helping her “grow and evolve” to a place that she “never imagined seeing” herself. She said she told Jeezy she couldn’t wait to “come home and tell the girls that have always accepted me at every stage of my life.”

She then thanked her co-hosts for their support, reflecting on the moment she first revealed her pregnancy to them.

“I’ve got to come home and tell the girls that have always accepted me at every stage of my life, have been through my ups and downs and have always encouraged me to a place where, I feel like you’ve all individually always told me to, if I wanted to be a mom, I’d be an awesome mom.”

The TV personality and “Soul Survivor” rapper tied the knot in Jeezy’s hometown of Atlanta in March — exactly one year after the couple got engaged during quarantine.

Their intimate “mini-mony” included only “immediate family and a few close friends” who tested negative for COVID-19. It was a far stretch from the wedding they envisioned in Italy or France, but Mai said the past year has taught them tomorrow isn’t promised.

“It was the most beautiful sign that anything’s possible, that you’re not in control, and God has a plan,” she explained to the mag.

Mai and Jeezy began dating in 2018. Their union is Mai’s second marriage — she split from ex-husband Freddy Harteis in 2017 after 10 years of marriage — and the first for Jeezy, who is the father of three children.
