Q. How would you summarize 2023?
A. 2023 proved to be much better for the country’s businesses than the difficult year 2022. Although we faced many challenges, we managed to overcome them handily.
I am pleased to say that we had a fruitful year, with several large projects completed. One project, the Swiss Hotel, was officially opened just a few days ago. It is located at Soliko Virsaladze 3. We also have several other active and interesting projects in our portfolio.
Q. Last year Allstone became an official representative of Turkish Elkay and began the import of its products to Georgia. How is this brand doing in Georgia?
A. Elkay is a Turkish brand that produces construction chemicals such as glue, putty, silicone, and stone protectors. When looking for the best product for our stone, we wanted to find a reliable and high-quality option.
Despite being a new brand, Elkay managed to become recognized on the market in a short period of time. Today, I can confidently say that Elkay is one of the best among leading brands. They offer the highest quality chemicals for the highest quality stone, and what’s most convenient is that everything is available in one space.
Q. Allstone operates two showrooms in the capital city of Tbilisi. Do you plan to be in other Georgian cities in the future?
A. Yes, both showrooms are located in Dighomi district of Tbilisi. We have a strong desire to open showrooms outside of the city so that we can provide our customers with greater comfort and convenience.
Q. Which stone is used in which type of design? What are the best combinations?
A. We offer a variety of stone tiles including travertine, marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain, as well as a wide selection of mosaics.
Travertine is the favored choice for facades, while marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain are popular for interior spaces. These stones are versatile and can be used in various areas.
Q. Is Alsstone currently working on any major projects and from which sectors come the most orders?
A. We collaborate with a variety of industries, including construction, individuals, restaurants, and hotels.
We currently have several ongoing projects, but one particularly fascinating project has caught our attention. This project will incorporate all of our stones and we expect it to be completed within a few months. While we are confident that it will be well-received, we are not ready to release any details to the public at this stage.
