D’Angleterre
Copenhagen’s historic Kongens Nytorv, or King’s Square, recently reopened after a decade of reconstruction. Celebrate its return during the holiday season with a stay at D’Angleterre, a landmark on the square since 1755. The facade of this legendary hotel, reimagined as a grand palace with modern features, will be decorated with twinkling lights and unveiled on Nov. 22, 2019. The entire square will also put on its best fairy-tale Christmas finery —appropriate since author Hans Christian Andersen, a Danish author known for his fairy tales, spent the holiday here in 1865.
