Today at 11:08 (CEST) the Crew Dragon spacecraft with ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, NASA astronauts Megan McArthur and Shane Kimbrough, and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Akihiko Hoshide docked with the International Space Station’s Node-2 Harmony module, marking the start of ESA’s six-month mission Alpha.

German ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer has been officially assigned his first flight to the International Space Station and he may now reveal the name of his mission: Cosmic Kiss. Matthias is scheduled to launch to the Space Station with NASA astronauts Raja Chari and Thomas Marshburn aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft under NASA’s Commercial Crew Programme.
